PORT DICKSON (Oct 5, 2009) : DAP Youth chief Anthony Loke lodged a police report at the police headquarters here today against the distribution of two books, one on Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the other on the Selangor mentri besar.

The book on Anwar entitled 50 Kemusykilan Tentang Manusia Bernama Anwar Ibrahim (50 Questions About The Man Called Anwar Ibrahim).

The other book, entitled Nasib Orang Melayu Selangor: Wajah Sebenar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim (The Plight of the Selangor Malays: The Real Face of Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim) accuses the mentri besar of sidelining the Malay community in the state.

The books were circulated along Batu 7 during nominations for the Bagan Pinang by-election on Saturday.

“I lodged the report on behalf of the Pakatan Rakyat leaders of Negri Sembilan,” Loke, who is also the Rasah MP, said.

“We urge the police to investigate this matter and take action to stop the distribution of the books.”

He said the books violated the Sedition Act 1948 and also the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 and were written by “phantom writers” as there were no names of the author or publishers.
